Cork Maintenance
Cork is a durable natural material, that can be with you for many years with the right care. The properties of cork are naturally anti-bacterial and moisture-resistant, therefore you don’t have to clean the mat after every session, but make sure you clean it after the really sweaty ones.
Clean with cold water Use a soft cloth with warm or cold water to wash the mat, and avoid the use of any chemicals and soaps. The use of soap can undermine the natural anti-slip functions of cork, and should be avoided.
Roll your yoga mat Always roll up your yoga mat for storage or transportation, and do not fold it – folding it will create creases and damage the mat.
